### About This Role

The Assistant Director of Nursing oversees all areas of the hospital in the absence of leadership, ensuring high-quality patient and family-centered care. This role is ideal for experienced nursing leaders who excel in communication and operational management.

- Schedule: Full-Time, Night shift

### What You'll Do

- Oversee and manage operations and patient care activities in all areas of the facility in the absence of leadership.
- Provide leadership to supervisors and team members by communicating and guiding toward achieving facility objectives.
- Communicate, build consensus, and guide departments toward achieving hospital objectives.
- Promote and maintain high-quality patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
- Maintain a professional work environment that fosters team member respect, engagement, accountability, and optimal patient outcomes.
- Promote appreciative inquiry and evidence-based, ethical, and compassionate practice.
- Provide direction and guidance to patient care unit team members and supervisors in clinical and operational concerns in the absence of leadership.
- May provide input into performance reviews, hiring, promotions, and corrective actions.
- Serve as a role model for standards of professional practice (clinical, educational, and leadership).
- Monitor personnel, supply, and equipment considerations in the absence of leadership.

### Requirements

### Education

- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing required, Master's preferred.

### Experience

- 6-10 years of nursing experience required.
- 5-7 years of leadership/management experience required.

### Licenses & Certifications

- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
- Specialized certifications as needed.
