## Job Description

STARR Restaurants and James Beard Award–winning Chef Mark Ladner have reimagined **Babbo** - a storied Italian institution that helped define New York’s dining landscape. 

We are seeking a dynamic, lead-by-example **Assistant General Manager** to join our team and help lead the restaurant’s daily operations. This is an opportunity for an experienced hospitality leader who understands that great hospitality is both an art and a discipline, someone who cultivates memorable guest experiences, appreciates systems and structure, and elevates their team through mentorship and example. 

**This position offers a comprehensive package including:**

- A Base Salary Range of $90,000- $95,000
- Quarterly Bonus Program up to 15%

**What you’ll do:**

- Partner with the General Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience
- Lead by example, fostering a culture of hospitality, accountability, and teamwork
- Train, mentor, and develop team members through a hands-on “coach-player” leadership approach
- Uphold service standards while driving operational excellence and business performance
- Support scheduling, staffing, and other key administrative and operational functions
- Step into the leadership of the restaurant in the General Manager’s absence

**Qualifications:**

- At least 4 years of progressive restaurant management experience in an upscale or fine dining environment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
- Proven leadership capabilities with a focus on training and developing teams
- The ability to drive performance and success without compromising hospitality or service standards
- Basic PC knowledge and proficiency with Word, Excel, scheduling software, OpenTable, Resy, and applicant tracking/onboarding systems
