## Job Description

Edme Insurance Brokers is looking for suitable candidate for Marine Cargo Claim .

**Role Purpose**

To manage end-to-end marine insurance claims for clients by ensuring timely claim registration, documentation, coordination with insurers, surveyors, and other stakeholders, while facilitating efficient claim settlements and delivering superior client service.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Manage the complete marine claims process from claim intimation to final settlement.
- Review policy coverage and assess claim admissibility in line with policy terms and conditions.
- Coordinate with insurers, surveyors, shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs authorities, carriers, and clients throughout the claim lifecycle.
- Scrutinize claim documents, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, survey reports, claim bills, and correspondence.
- Liaise with surveyors for timely surveys and obtain survey reports.
- Track claim progress and proactively follow up with insurers to ensure timely settlement.
- Provide regular claim status updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Handle claim negotiations and assist in resolving disputes or repudiated claims.
- Ensure compliance with insurer guidelines, marine insurance regulations, and internal SOPs.
- Maintain accurate claim records, MIS reports, and claim analytics.
- Identify trends in claims and recommend preventive measures to reduce claim frequency and severity.
- Support the placement team by providing claims insights during policy renewals and client meetings.
