Job Description
Associate Director - Bioinformatics Education:- Ph.D/MS in Bioinformatics, Genomics, Computational Biology, or a related fieldExperience:- More than 5 Years -Experience in handling/leading a medium size (10-15) team of bioinformatics. Key Responsibilities:Responsible for managing and overseeing company's bioinformatics research service group complete operation.Ensuring timely delivery of results and query resolution for delivery of the project within turn-around-time (TAT).Performing planning, coordination, and execution of genomics projects (Human and non-Human), ensuring timely delivery and quality.Interpret complex NGS/ONT/PacBio data and summarize key insights for both scientific and non-scientific audiences.Identify and rectify technical problems associated with NGS data analysis and other bioinformatics procedures.Develop and deliver clear, concise presentations derived from various data types,customized to meet client requirements and expectations.Prepare, review and maintain documentation of SOPs and pipelines.Address client inquiries, participate in client calls, summarize findings, and provide expert recommendations.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including researchers, project managers, and clients, to guarantee the success of the project.Automation and improvement in bioinformatics analysis pipeline and other workflows.Implement latest and advanced techniques for data analysis and scaleup.Explore data, plan, and execute new project ideas into a quick working prototype.Provide regular updates about the projects to the department/sub-department heads.Provide full support for all regular proficiency and quality test/audit of various projects.Responsible for maintaining quality and compliance of bioinformatics pipelines and data.Providing regular bioinformatics training and mentorship to the team members.Inspire and motivate the team to achieve high-quality results in a fast-paced start up environment.Closely work with bioinformatics development, research and software team heads for improvement of bioinformatics processes.
