## Job Description

An established and growing engineering consultancy is looking to expand it's energy and sustainability offering and recruit a Building Performance Engineer to join its Glasgow team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, helping to deliver sustainable, energy-efficient buildings from concept through to completion. The successful candidate will play a key role in building performance analysis, supporting design teams with energy modelling, thermal comfort assessments, and sustainability strategies to help meet regulatory requirements and achieve low-carbon design objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Carry out dynamic thermal modelling using industry-standard software.
- Produce energy and building performance assessments to support planning and compliance.
- Undertake overheating, daylight, and thermal comfort analyses.
- Support the delivery of net zero and low-carbon design strategies.
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and sustainability engineers throughout project lifecycles.
- Prepare clear technical reports and communicate findings to project teams and clients.
- Keep up to date with UK building regulations, energy standards, and best practice guidance.

**About You**

- Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in building performance modelling within a consultancy environment.
- Proficient with software such as IES VE, DesignBuilder, or equivalent modelling tools.
- Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, Part L, TM52, TM54, TM59, and energy compliance methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
