Job Description POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Development Representative is responsible for generating qualified new client leads, developing professional referral relationships, and guiding prospective clients and families through the sales process until services are successfully secured.

This is a highly flexible, performance-driven position. The representative will receive five guaranteed paid hours each week, with the opportunity to earn significant additional compensation through new-client acquisition and retention commissions. This representative will be actively involved in referral partnerships, community outreach, client acquisition. 

The ideal candidate is compassionate, confident, self-motivated, organized, and comfortable building professional relationships and asking qualified families to move forward with services.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development and Lead Generation

- Identify and pursue new sources of qualified client leads throughout Platte, Clay, and Ray counties.
- Establish and maintain relationships with hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, skilled nursing facilities, senior living communities, hospice organizations, home health agencies, physician offices, churches, senior centers, veterans’ organizations, elder-law professionals, financial professionals, and other senior-serving organizations.
- Conduct purposeful in-person visits with current and prospective referral partners.
- Educate community partners about our services, ideal clients, service area, referral process, and peer-to-peer caregiving model.
- Attend approved networking meetings, community events, senior fairs, educational programs, and professional gatherings.
- Consistently follow up with referral partners and prospective clients.
- Build and maintain an active referral and prospective-client pipeline.
- Accurately document all outreach activities, contacts, leads, conversations, and next steps.

Prospective Client Intake and Follow-Up

- Respond promptly and compassionately to self-generated and assigned inquiries.
- Speak with prospective clients and family members to understand their concerns, care needs, location, preferred schedule, anticipated start date, and approximate budget.
- Determine whether the prospective client appears to be an appropriate fit for the company’s services and service area.
- Clearly explain company-approved services, rates, scheduling expectations, caregiver matching, onboarding requirements, and next steps.
- Maintain timely and consistent follow-up with prospective clients who are considering services.
- Track each lead from the initial contact through the final outcome.
- Promptly communicate significant care, safety, financial, or scheduling concerns to the appropriate owner or care team member.
