This is a locum tenens role with a focus on covering a gap in coverage, offering a consistent schedule with no call or rounding responsibilities. - Assignment Type: Locum Tenens

- Setting: Outpatient Clinic

- Start Date: October 1, 2026

- Schedule: 4-5 days/month, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

- Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric

- Location: Ketchikan, Alaska

- Stipends: Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates

- Weekly direct deposit

- Malpractice insurance with tail coverage

- Supportive credentialing assistance

- Lodging and mileage reimbursement

- Flexible scheduling

- Provide cardiology services to adult and geriatric patients

- Collaborate effectively with supporting specialties such as Family Medicine, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, General Surgery, ED, and hospitalists

- Maintain detailed case logs of cardiovascular services provided

- MD/DO with a specialty in Cardiology

- Active or eligible for Alaska licensure; AK license and/or IMLC strongly preferred

- Proficient user of EPIC EMR

- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

- 8-hour shifts

- No on-call requirement

- No rounding or admissions responsibilities

- Excellent clinical skills in cardiology

- Strong capability to work independently as the sole cardiologist

- Proficient communication skills for collaboration with various medical specialties
