**Compensation:** $20+ hourly

**Responsibilities:** 
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of the hotel's physical structures and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient functioning.
- Ensure that routine maintenance is completed in all areas of the hotel, including guest rooms, public spaces, and grounds.
- Verify the timely completion of all repairs, replacements, and renovation projects within the hotel.
- Adhere to corporate purchasing policies and controls, including managing contractor bids, budgets, and schedules.
- Enforce safety procedures for personnel and equipment in accordance with company and OSHA guidelines.
- Lead the hiring, training, supervision, and discipline of department staff and other team members.
- Implement Energy Management and Preventive Maintenance programs and provide training on equipment and energy usage.
- Keep the General Manager and department heads informed about the condition of the building structures and equipment, offering cost-effective maintenance proposals.
- Strategically plan and lead the engineering department to deliver high-quality service for enhanced guest satisfaction.
- Must be fluent in English, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, and possess various physical abilities for the role.
- Maintain open availability to fulfill job requirements effectively.

**Qualifications:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

**Education and Experience**

- Minimum of 6 years related experience and/or trade school training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**Experience in the following trades:**

- Electrical.
- Mechanical.
- HVAC Systems.
- Process Controls.
- Painting.
- Plumbing.
- Carpentry.

**Communication Skills**

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers.
- Ability to effectively present information.
- Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.
