Astra Controls, LLC is an engineering service provider specialized in automation process and assemblies. Our services range from project management to design, integration, debug and training services.

**Job Summary**

The selected candidate will travel to customer sites to provide Service & Technical support including troubleshooting, installation, hardware/software design, robot programming and training on various types of industrial automation equipment.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

- Controls systems design, specification, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up assistance
- Design, develop and conduct time studies and work simplification programs
- Debug and servicing of electrical components.
- Inspect robotics and their mechanical installations, performance and construction
- Design, develop and conduct time studies and work simplification programs
- Programming and Troubleshooting HMI (Human Machine Interface) equipment, writing new PLC and HMI applications per customer requirements
- Exceed customer expectations in implementing a collaborative team approach, expertise, and seamless integration of services that include project engineering, hardware/software design, robot programming, integration, start-up, debug, system training and field service/support
- AutoCAD design, panel design and layout, bill of materials, wiring schematic, red-lining, and PI&D drawings
- Prepare cost and material estimates, project schedules and reports Analyze costs of production

**Education & Experience**

- Electrical Engineering Degree required. Mechatronics/Industrial Degree programs considered.
- Knowledge or education in electrical circuits, schematic reading, design, project management and troubleshooting.
- Mathematical skills in geometry and trigonometry.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Microsoft Windows ™ Operating system and PC experience.
- Microsoft Office application experience such as Word and Excel.
- Travel required - approximately 80%
