Job Description
Support individuals through trauma as a Crisis Intervention Counselor at WSIB. This role allows you to provide immediate assistance and impactful counseling to workers in urgent need.
At WSIB, you will take on a critical role in helping individuals affected by workplace incidents. Utilizing your expertise in crisis counseling and trauma management, you will conduct risk assessments and develop tailored intervention plans. Your work will directly contribute to the recovery and resilience of clients, fostering a supportive environment in both individual and group settings.
Key Responsibilities: • Deliver immediate crisis intervention and supportive counseling • Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans • Implement individualized crisis intervention strategies • Provide referrals and resources for client recovery • Collaborate with staff and community agencies for care coordination
Requirements: • University degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field • Two years of experience in trauma management • Advanced certificates in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing • Valid Ontario G class driver’s license • Commitment to continuous professional development
