Delivery Driver / Forklift Operator – Hawaiian Turfgrass

Hawaiian Turfgrass is looking for a dependable, safety-minded Delivery Driver / Forklift Operator to join our team in Mililani.

This position involves delivering sod and turf products to customers and job sites throughout Oʻahu, operating forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, and communicating professionally with customers and our farm team.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate company delivery trucks

- Deliver sod and other materials throughout Oʻahu

- Follow GPS, maps, delivery instructions, and assigned routes

- Safely load and unload trucks

- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment

- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

- Properly secure loads before leaving the farm

- Maintain delivery paperwork and communicate completed deliveries or problems

- Communicate with customers professionally and courteously

- Keep trucks and equipment clean and report maintenance or safety issues

- Assist the farm/operations team when deliveries are completed

- Follow company safety procedures and DOT requirements

Requirements

- Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicles being operated

- Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card)

- Clean or acceptable driver's abstract / driving record

- Safe and responsible driving history

- Able to pass applicable employment and driver qualification requirements

- Forklift experience preferred; training/certification can be provided if appropriate

- Comfortable driving throughout Oʻahu and following GPS/maps

- Able to communicate clearly with customers, dispatch, supervisors, and coworkers

- Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

- Able to safely perform the physical duties associated with loading and delivering sod

- Must take care of company trucks and equipment
