### Role Profile

The role of Deputy Vice President for Academic Affairs is part of their senior leadership team in the Office of the Vice-President Academic Affairs / Registrar (OVPAA), and provides direct support to the VPAA / Registrar to deliver on the significant strategic, regulatory, policy and operational responsibilities attributed to that role.

The Deputy Vice President for Academic Affairs role provides senior academic leadership and strategic oversight of the enablement of the University’s taught curriculum, pedagogical direction and student success agendas. The Deputy VPAA sets academic priorities, ensures coherence of curriculum innovation, and governs implementation through academic and functional leads. The role translates institutional academic strategy into sustainable curriculum frameworks while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and operational capacity, empowering Faculties to be innovative in curriculum design and deliver on our ambitious strategy.

The Deputy Vice President for Academic Affairs reports to the Vice-President Academic Affairs / Registrar, and will represent the VPAA/Registrar at relevant University committees and senior forums internally and externally.
