### DevOps Engineer - United Kingdom

**London, United Kingdom · Permanent · Remote within the UK considered**

### What you'd actually work on

- Designing, provisioning, and maintaining cloud infrastructure through Terraform

- Building and improving CI/CD pipelines used across the engineering organisation

- Operating multiple Kubernetes clusters across production and non-production environments

- Improving deployment reliability, release automation, and rollback processes

- Implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, and distributed tracing across services and infrastructure

- Automating recurring operational tasks and reducing manual intervention

- Investigating production incidents across applications, Kubernetes, networking, and cloud infrastructure

- Leading incident response and documenting corrective actions through useful postmortems

- Improving platform performance, resilience, scalability, and recovery processes

- Working with security and engineering teams to implement access controls and compliance requirements

- Monitoring infrastructure usage and identifying opportunities to reduce cloud costs

- Maintaining technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks

### Where it gets technically interesting

- Multi-cluster Kubernetes environments where capacity planning and autoscaling require more than default configurations

- Terraform-managed infrastructure spanning several cloud accounts and environments

- CI/CD pipelines supporting multiple engineering teams and frequent production releases

- Zero-downtime deployment strategies for services with strict availability requirements

- Observability across distributed services where individual metrics do not always reveal the source of a problem

- Cloud cost optimisation across infrastructure that has grown quickly

- Production incident management in a regulated financial environment

- Balancing security and compliance requirements with engineering autonomy and delivery speed

### What we're looking for

- 4+ years of experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE role

- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production

- Solid experience designing and maintaining infrastructure with Terraform

- Strong Linux and networking fundamentals

- Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines

- Good knowledge of cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP

- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability tools

- Understanding of container security, secrets management, and infrastructure access controls
- Experience managing production incidents from detection through resolution and follow-up

- Ability to troubleshoot issues across applications, containers, networks, and cloud services

- Experience working with Git, code reviews, and automated testing

- Clear communication with software engineers, security teams, and other technical stakeholders
