Job Description **Diesel Technician (Experienced / A-Level Preferred)**
**Pay:** $28.00–$60.00 per hour + Monthly Performance Bonus

**Join a Shop That Respects Your Skillset**

At Gary Jackson Motors we don’t just fix trucks—we run a proactive, preventative maintenance operation designed to minimize breakdowns and maximize uptime for our customers. That means better workflow, fewer chaotic jobs, and a shop environment where experienced techs can do their best work.

If you’re a highly skilled technician who takes pride in accurate diagnostics, efficient repairs and doing the job right the first time, you’ll fit in here.

**What Sets This Role Apart**

- Consistent, organized workflow focused on planned maintenance—not constant emergencies
- Performance-based monthly bonus for 100%+ efficiency
- Flexible work schedule
- Clean, spacious 7,300 sq. ft. shop—heated in winter
- Modern diagnostic tools and software (J-Pro, Cummins Insite, tablet-based system)
- A team that values professionalism, accountability, and strong communication

**Your Role**
You’ll take ownership of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance across light- to heavy-duty trucks—handling jobs from start to finish with minimal oversight.

**Core Responsibilities**

- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems using advanced diagnostic tools
- Handle steering, suspension, brakes (including ABS), driveline, and electrical systems
- Perform preventative maintenance with a focus on long-term reliability
- Accurately document findings, timelines, and repair solutions
- Communicate clearly with service advisors using a “complaint, cause, cure, prevention” approach
- Identify potential issues early and plan repairs efficiently

**What We’re Looking For**

- 5+ years of truck repair experience
- Strong diagnostic ability—you can find the root cause, not just replace parts
- Comfortable reading electrical schematics and performing pinpoint testing
- Experience with air brakes, suspension, and overall vehicle systems
- Professional, self-directed, and accountable
- Able to work independently while contributing to a strong team environment

**Compensation & Benefits**

- $28.00–$60.00/hour (based on experience and ability)
- Monthly performance bonus (100%+ efficiency)
- 401(k) with company match
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid time off
- Employee discounts
- Ongoing professional development support

**Requirements**

- 5+ years truck repair experience (required)
- Driver’s license (preferred)

**Job Type:** Full-time
**Work Location:** In person
