Apply now.Your Role as the Dietary Service AideSkilled Nursing Americare Senior Living is seeking a dependable and team-oriented Dietary Service Aide to assist with the preparation and service of meals for residents, family members, visitors, and staff in our skilled nursing community. This role supports a home-like, person-centered dining experience while helping maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe dietary environment.

Summary The Dietary Service Aide assists the dietary team with meal preparation, service, and sanitation while following dietary guidelines, health regulations, and Americare's standards of care. This role plays an important part in resident satisfaction, safety, and daily quality of life. This role may also be known as: Dietary Service Aide, Dietary Aide, Food Service Aide, Nutrition Services Aide, or Kitchen Aide.

What You'll DoAssist with accurate preparation and service of meals to residents, visitors, and staffSupport person-centered dining by creating a welcoming, home-like environmentWork collaboratively with other dietary team membersMaintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areasFollow food safety, infection control, and dietary guidelinesAssist with special meals, nourishments, and activities as neededAdhere to Americare's Mission, Vision, Hometown Hospitality , and F.A.M.I.L.Y. valuesWhat You BringQualificationsMust be at least 16 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and co-workersAbility to follow supervisor instructions in a safe and efficient mannerCommitment to professionalism, teamwork, and resident-centered careAdherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable state and federal regulationsPhysical DemandsStand, sit, walk, and change positions frequentlyLift or carry up to 25 lbs.; push and pull up to 50 lbs.Reach, balance, kneel, stoop, and bend as neededSafety RequirementsFollow safety policies, including use of carts for transporting itemsWear skid-resistant, supportive footwear to prevent slips and fallsUse required PPE when handling food or equipmentReport work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentationParticipate in company drug testing proceduresWork Environment This role operates in a professional kitchen and dining environment, utilizing stoves, dishwashers, refrigerators, coolers, and other food service equipment.
