## Job Description

Director of Operations Baba Group is seeking a Director of Operations to help lead the next phase of growth across our Brooklyn restaurant group with baba cool in Fort Greene, BABA on Withers in Williamsburg & Ferg's about to open, we are looking for an experienced hospitality leader who is passionate about developing people, building strong teams, and creating operational excellence while maintaining the creativity, energy, and personality that define our restaurants. 

The Director of Operations will oversee the performance and development of our Managers and management teams across all concepts, serving as a strategic partner, coach, and mentor. This person will help build stronger leaders throughout the organization by providing guidance, accountability, training, and support to both front-of-house and back-of-house management teams. 

This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on being present in the restaurants. The Director of Operations will regularly be on the floor during service, observing operations, supporting teams, coaching managers in real time, and identifying opportunities to improve the guest and employee experience. We believe great hospitality is built through presence, relationships, and leading alongside the team.

Responsibilities 

- Develop both front-of-house and back-of-house leadership teams through training, feedback, and ongoing mentorship
- Maintain regular floor presence during service to observe operations, coach teams, and ensure standards are consistently executed
- Support managers in building strong teams through hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Establish operational standards and accountability systems
- Review financial performance with managers and identify opportunities to improve profitability w
- Support labor management, cost controls, inventory systems, and operational efficiencies
- Build scalable tools, processes, and training programs that strengthen the company without creating unnecessary bureaucracy
- Partner with ownership on strategic initiatives, future growth, and long-term company goals

The Ideal Candidate 
- 5+ years of hospitality leadership experience with experience managing managers and developing teams
- Comfortable balancing strategic planning with the realities of daily restaurant operations
- Strong understanding of hospitality, financial performance, service standards, and team culture
