Early Years Teacher / Assistant TeacherLocation: Mumbai Day Care Center, GoregaonContract Type: Full Time / PermanentPay: 22,000 - 40,000 INR per month (depending on experience)Working pattern: 8.30am-5.30pm, 9.30am-6.30pm, 10.30am-7.30pm and 11.30am-8.30pm (Monthly rotational shifts)
Bonus paid when working the 11.30am shift

Purpose of the Role:As an early childhood educator, your job will be to deliver exceptional care and education to our children, and to be the main point of contact our families.To support our children's learning and development, document their experiences on a daily basis, plan for the next steps for children's development, and evaluate their progress.
Key Tasks:Lesson planningKeep everyone safe by following policies and proceduresMeet the dietary, health and care needsWork together with parents and other professionalsEnsure the curriculum and planning cycle meets the needs of all childrenMaintain records and completion of progress checks for each childPractice positive behaviour management techniquesSupport and promote diversity and equalityWork as part of a teamUse initiative and show resilienceAttend staff meetings and training sessionsParticipation in appraisals and one to onesPromote the centre to current parents and potential customersTake on board new ideas and initiatives

Essential QualificationsEarly Years or Education qualificationPaediatric First Aid qualification (Desirable)
Experience Required:Early Years, childcare or teachingExperience working with young children either in a professional home base or early years provisionA good record of on-going trainingGood literacy, numeracy and ICT skillsUnderstanding child development, including children with disabilitiesKnowledge of child protection proceduresSoft skills: Patience, communication, teamwork and creativity
