Wegmans Organic Farm & Orchard in Canandaigua, NY offers the opportunity to join a team passionate about sustainable agriculture and growing high-quality organic produce. As a seasonal worker, you'll work hands-on in the fields harvesting fruits and vegetables, helping bring fresh, local produce from farm to table while gaining valuable experience in agriculture. What You'll Do - Plant, cultivate and harvest crops, including watering, composting, weeding, and applying organic sprays - Drive/operate farm machinery when necessary - Grade and package crops for marketing and selling within our stores - Work effectively in a team-based environment, assist as necessary to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner - Complete tasks timely without sacrificing quality - Strictly adhere to food and human safety guidelines and procedures - Perform work both outside in various weather conditions as well as indoors as needed Requirements - Provide incredible service by bringing enthusiasm to every task - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team - Strong time management skills Preferred Qualifications - Agricultural experience or related coursework - Experience working with agricultural equipment/tools At Wegmans, we've always believed we can achieve our goals only if we first fulfill the needs of our people.
