## Job Description

Role: Finance manager

Location: Ashbourne, Co Meath

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Finance Manager for one of our clients based in Ashbourne. The right candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a similar role and will be reporting directly to the Financial Controller. We are looking for candidates with strong financial and commercial awareness and will be hands‑on in a fast-paced environment.

**Duties and Responsibilities:**

- Support the Financial Controller in the day-to-day management of the finance functions

- Oversee the full accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

- Prepare accurate bank reconciliations, month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations

- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reports, cash flow reporting, budgets and forecasts to support business performance and decision‑making.

- Work closely with operational teams to ensure financial accuracy, effective stock control, and inventory management.

- Ensure strict compliance with company policies, accounting standards, statutory obligations and audit requirements.

- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen financial governance.

- Provide financial analysis and commercial insight to support operational and strategic business decisions.

- Support the Financial Controller with year-end accounts, external audits and any ad hoc financial projects

**Requirements:**

- Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or Accounting Technician qualification with significant relevant experience.

- 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting position, in the FMCG industry is desirable

- Strong working knowledge of financial accounting, management accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, bank reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, inventory management and stock control

- Highly proficient in Microsoft excel and ERP

- Excellent organisational skills and experience working to deadlines
