### Financial Accountant

Permanent Position

Location: Shannon, Co. Clare

Magellan Aviation Group is seeking an ambitious and detail-focused Financial Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accounting professional looking to build their career within a dynamic international aviation business and gain exposure to global operations within the aviation aftermarket sector.

### About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the Group's international entities. You will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring compliance with financial controls, and providing valuable insights to help drive business performance.

### Key Responsibilities

### Financial Accounting & Reporting

- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements.

- Support month-end and year-end close processes across assigned entities.

- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of general ledger transactions.

- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.

- Assist with statutory reporting, audits, and year-end compliance requirements.

### Financial Analysis & Business Support

- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making.

- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

- Identify trends and performance drivers across the business.

- Support initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, profitability, and overall performance.

### Controls, Compliance & Process Improvement

- Support compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and Group policies.

- Assist with legal, statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.

- Review financial processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

- Contribute to the development and standardisation of financial procedures across the Group's international operations.

### Collaboration

- Work closely with colleagues across Finance and other business functions.

- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple international locations.

- Contribute to finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

### About You

You are a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate financial information that supports business decisions.

### Essential Requirements

- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CPA, ACA/CA or equivalent).

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting processes.

- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict reporting deadlines.

### Desirable

- Experience in audit, consolidation, or financial reporting.

- Knowledge of aviation-specific accounting.

- Experience working within an international or multi-entity environment.
