## Job Description

Our client is a leading real estate investment firm in South Florida with tens of billions of dollars in assets under management. Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking a Real Estate Finance Attorney with 4–7 years of experience handling sophisticated debt finance transactions within the commercial real estate sector. This is a newly created position supporting the continued expansion of the firm's debt finance legal team.

The attorney who leads the team was previously placed by us and is now looking to build out a strong, collaborative group.

- Compensation: $275,000–$400,000

### Responsibilities:

- Partner closely with the firm's real estate debt team to facilitate transactions and ensure processes run smoothly.
- Manage a steady and sophisticated deal flow, with at least 80% of transactions handled internally rather than delegated to outside counsel.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on complex real estate finance documentation and transaction agreements.
- Support direct-lender loan originations and other commercial real estate finance transactions.
- Work on a range of matters, including primary loan originations and secondary-market transactions.
- Collaborate with internal business and legal teams on complex, time-sensitive transactions.
- Manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

### Why This Opportunity?

- Join a highly collaborative legal team with an exceptional culture and extremely low attrition.
- Work directly alongside a highly experienced legal leader who is known for being both an excellent lawyer and a strong mentor.
- Enjoy the sophistication and deal volume associated with a partner-track BigLaw practice, while representing a single sophisticated client.
- Total annual compensation of $275,000–$400,000, rivaling compensation at market-leading law firms.
- Relocation costs covered for candidates moving to South Florida.
- Fully in-office role, with the flexibility to work remotely for one month each summer.
- Opportunity to handle sophisticated transactions while gaining meaningful in-house experience and maintaining a strong quality of life.

### Required Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to and good standing with a state bar.
- At least 4 years of relevant legal experience, including experience at a top-tier law firm; some AmLaw-ranked firm experience is required.
- Deep working knowledge of real estate finance law, with meaningful debt finance experience strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.
- Familiarity with direct-lender loan originations strongly preferred.
- Experience with a range of commercial real estate finance matters, including:
- Primary loan originations
- Secondary-market transactions
- Intercreditor and co-lender arrangements
- Real estate workouts
- Securitizations
- Note trading
- Note-on-note financings
- Other leveraged finance transactions involving commercial real estate
- Experience drafting and negotiating term sheets, loan documents, financing documentation, and related transaction agreements.
- Strong business judgment, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Medical Insurance
- Vision Insurance
- 401(k)
- Paid Maternity Leave
- Paid Paternity Leave
- Disability Insurance
