## Job Description

Role Description

GDIT is seeking a Lead Project Manager to join our program supporting the biomedical research community for our customer with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) at the National Institutes of Health.

- Oversee specific projects within the NHLBI IT support services program. 
- Ensure projects are planned, managed, monitored, and completed in accordance with NHLBI, NIH, HHS, and federal government policies and regulations. 
- Lead project teams through project lifecycles while adhering to established schedules, scope, costs, and risk management. 
- Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders and provide updates on project milestones, issues, and risks.

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree and at least five years of experience managing multiple and simultaneous IT projects involving infrastructure, service desk, and cybersecurity. 
- Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring junior project managers. 
- Must be proficient in Agile, Kanban/Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies and experienced with project management tools like Atlassian Jira, MS Project, and Smartsheet. 
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.

Requirements

- PMP or equivalent certification is strongly preferred. 
- Experience working with NIH, government, or biomedical research setting.
