## Job Description

Global retail and manufacturing business is looking for an Interim Legal Counsel as a lead role for their operations in Italy on a part time, 3 days/week basis starting in September.

- 3 month+ contract. Potential to extend / go permanent
- Remote working from the UK, Europe or based out of Italy HQ (near Verona)
- Reporting to Chief Legal Officer
- Must be qualified in Italy, fluent also in English

This is a hands-on operational role supporting the local business, working closely with senior stakeholders and being a trusted legal advisor to the team, as part of Group Legal.

Responsibilities will include:

- commercial contract drafting, review and negotiation
- real estate matters including lease negotiations
- managing franchise arrangements
- litigation and dispute management
- advising on regulatory compliance
- engaging external counsel when required

You will be ideally:

- 8+ years qualified (Italy)
- previous experience as a legal counsel, in-house within a similar environment
- strong technical skills coupled with ability to work effectively with senior management
