Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob SummaryThe Jr. Product Engineer (R&D) is responsible for supporting the research, development, testing, and improvement of products and manufacturing processes. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to assist in product design, prototyping, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development and improvement of new and existing products.Support product design, testing, validation, and documentation activities.Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations teams during product development processes.Prepare technical drawings, specifications, reports, and engineering documentation.Participate in prototype builds, product evaluations, and design verification activities.Analyze product performance data and recommend improvements.Support root cause investigations and corrective action implementations.Assist with engineering change orders (ECOs) and document control activities.Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.Maintain accurate project records and development documentation.Participate in meetings related to product development and project updates.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field required.0–3 years of experience in product engineering, manufacturing, or research & development preferred.Knowledge of engineering principles, product development processes, and manufacturing practices.Familiarity with CAD software and technical drawing interpretation.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Preferred SkillsExperience in regulated manufacturing environments preferred.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.Familiarity with testing, validation, and product troubleshooting processes.Team-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
