Job DescriptionJunior / Recently Qualified Accountant West Cork €40,000 - €45,000 DOE Permanent, Full-Time We are delighted to be partnering with a well established and highly regarded accountancy practice in Bandon, West Cork, who are seeking a Junior/Recently Qualified Accountant to join their growing team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has recently completed their accounting qualification and already has 2- 4 years experience within an accountancy practice. The role offers the opportunity to take greater ownership of a varied client portfolio, build strong commercial and client facing experience, and continue developing within a supportive and established practice.

The Role: Working as part of an experienced team, you will manage and support a portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors. You will have regular client interaction and take increasing responsibility for accounts preparation, compliance and day-to-day client requirements. Responsibilities will include: Preparation of accounts for a portfolio of clients Preparation and review of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet information VAT and PAYE requirements Working with ROS, CRO and CORE Supporting year end accounts preparation Maintaining accurate client and financial records Managing client documentation and outstanding information Liaising directly with business owners and clients Supporting tax and compliance requirements Managing deadlines across multiple client accounts Assisting with bookkeeping and accounts queries where required Attending occasional client meetings and site visits Working with Sage and practice/accounting systems Regular use of Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office Suite About You: This opportunity would particularly suit someone who has recently qualified or completed their accounting studies and is now looking for the next step in their practice career.

You will ideally have: 2-4 years experience within an accountancy practice A completed or recently completed professional accounting qualification ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent qualification Strong practical accounts preparation experience Good knowledge of Irish VAT, PAYE and accounting processes Experience using ROS, CRO and CORE Sage experience Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Excellent accuracy and attention to detail Strong organisation and ability to manage multiple deadlines Confidence communicating directly with clients A proactive, professional and personable approach Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is keen to develop, take greater ownership and build a long term career within practice.
