**Position:** Partner & General Counsel - Legal Domain Expert
**Type:** **Contract**
**Compensation:** **$100–$150/hour**
**Location:** **Hybrid, Bay Area, California**
**Commitment:** **40 hours/week**

**Role Responsibilities**

- Evaluate the quality of legal knowledge work tasks and AI model outputs. Identify missing behaviors and thin reasoning in professional scrutiny. 
- Design high-quality instruction specs and produce golden solutions to legal problems. Define new legal tasks reflecting real-world practices. 
- Develop challenging legal tasks and evaluation sets. Build legal-specific skills and tools with the research team. 
- Collaborate with client researchers and specialists in adjacent fields. Translate tacit legal judgment into explicit, teachable criteria. 
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance. 

**Qualifications**

**Must-Have**

- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. 
- 5+ years of substantive post-qualification legal practice. 
- Specialization in at least one substantive practice area. 
- Progression to a senior level with real ownership of matters. 
- Active admission to at least one U.S. state bar, in good standing. 
- Hands-on working use of large language models. 
- Commitment to 40 hours/week for 6 months. 
- Reside in the Bay Area, California and work on-site as required. 
- Excellent written communication skills.
