******Salary:** $75,000-$90,000/year + 6% Bonus

**Shift:** Days | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

**Location:** Alma, GA

**About the Role**

This role supervises maintenance operations within a USDA-regulated food manufacturing facility, ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of production equipment, ammonia refrigeration systems, utilities, and facility infrastructure while supporting food safety, employee safety, and operational uptime.

**Job Responsibilities**

- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities involving building structures, utilities, refrigeration systems, and production equipment
- Lead maintenance personnel performing mechanical, electrical, structural, and facility-related repairs
- Oversee electrical maintenance, motor controls, wiring, and PLC-supported equipment
- Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain maintenance records, work orders, inventory, and equipment documentation within ERP systems
- Manage maintenance tools, spare parts, supplies, and equipment resources
- Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Recommend improvements to equipment reliability, maintenance procedures, and workplace safety
- Support equipment installations, facility projects, and production support activities
- Provide emergency maintenance support and participate in on-call responsibilities as needed
- Ensure compliance with USDA, FSIS, OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulatory requirements
- Support HACCP programs, SSOP compliance, and maintenance-related food safety initiatives
- Participate in internal audits, regulatory inspections, and third-party audits
- Supervise ammonia refrigeration operations and maintenance activities in compliance with PSM and RMP requirements
- Support emergency response activities related to ammonia refrigeration and utility systems
- Ensure completion of required PSM documentation, inspections, and training activities
- Promote compliance with lockout/tagout, confined space, hot work, and fall protection programs
- Lead safety meetings and participate in incident investigations
- Assist with oversight of contractors and service providers to ensure compliance with food safety and safety requirements
- Interview, train, coach, develop, and evaluate maintenance team members

**Qualifications**

- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school education preferred
- 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience within manufacturing environments
- Experience working within food, beverage, meat processing, or other regulated manufacturing facilities preferred
- 5+ years of ammonia refrigeration operating experience preferred
- Lead technician, maintenance lead, or supervisory experience preferred
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, and PLC-supported equipment
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, USDA, PSM, and industrial safety regulations
- RETA Class A certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification within one year of hire
- Strong troubleshooting, leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and emergency call-ins as needed
