## Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

- Insurance Follow-up: Contacting insurance companies (HMOs/PPOs) and following up on past-due, unpaid, or denied medical claims.

- Patient Collections: Assisting patients with outstanding balances, establishing payment arrangements, and updating demographics or insurance information.

- Document Management: Researching and resolving open accounts, entering Explanation of Benefits (EOB) data, and submitting corrected claims.

- Medical Review: Reading and interpreting medical records to determine the correct Medicare criteria and billing codes.

Qualifications & Requirements Include:

- Experience: 1 to 2 years minimum of medical collections or billing experience.

- Knowledge: Familiarity with EOBs, HMOs, PPOs, and Medicare criteria.

- Computer Skills: Typing speed of 30 to 45 words per minute, and familiarity with Medicare IVR systems or similar billing software.

- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, and detailed organizational skills.

- Must be at least 18 years old and able to show proof of eligibility to work in the

- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening

Compensation & Benefits:

- Pay: $17.00 to $25.00 per hour, with substantial overtime and bonus opportunities.
