View full job details and apply now… Medical Laboratory Scientist- Alaska # Medical Laboratory Scientist- Alaska KA Recruiting Inc. ## Job Description A healthcare organization in Southeast Alaska is looking for a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for a permanent, full-time position. - Permanent, full-time hospital laboratory opportunity - Perform all levels of laboratory testing, including CLIA-defined high-complexity testing - Work across areas including microbiology, transfusion medicine, molecular biology, and infectious disease testing - Evaluate and interpret test results, troubleshoot inconsistencies, and ensure accuracy before results are released - Maintain laboratory equipment, quality control, policies, procedures, and regulatory readiness - Assist with training laboratory staff and evaluating competency - Shift work plus night and weekend call required to provide 24-hour laboratory coverage - Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement, PTO, paid parental leave, life insurance, and disability coverage - Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field; qualifying experience, education, or training may substitute on a year-for-year basis for college education - Medical Technologist (ASCP), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (AMT), or equivalent national certification - At least 1 year of progressive clinical experience or 1 year of hospital internship following the degree - Knowledge of high-complexity laboratory testing, quality control, LIS, and laboratory equipment - Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements - Ability to work independently, troubleshoot laboratory results, and train staff - Clinical competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years For more information and immediate consideration, please email me at or message me at (617)-!
