## Job Description

**Level III NICU Southfield, Michigan**

**Henry Ford Health - Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital** is seeking a **Board Certified or truly Board Eligible Neonatologist** to provide locum tenens coverage following the resignation of an existing provider. This is an urgent, long-term need with consistent monthly shifts available.

Assignment Details 
- Level III NICU
- 15-bed NICU
- Average census: 12 patients/day
- Average admissions: 0 4/day
- Coverage timeframe: 3/24 31/2026- with the option to extend
- Shifts per month: 4 6 shifts
- Schedule: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, in-house call
- Specific dates currently needed:3/24
- 3/28
- 3/31
- 4/3

Clinical Responsibilities 
- Attend C-sections
- Manage and stabilize neonates in a Level III NICU
- Coordinate and perform neonatal transfers
- No coverage of Level I (Well-Baby) Nursery required

Team & Environment 
- Neonatology group includes:3 full-time physicians
- 2 part-time physicians
- 4 contingent providers

- EMR: Cerner / eCare / PowerChart
- Trauma Level: III

Candidate Requirements (REQUIRED) 
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Neonatology
- Fellowship-trained in Neonatology
- Active Michigan medical license (license in hand)
- Must be currently working (or have worked within the last 3 months) in a Level III or IV NICU
- BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications
- Clean background
- Self-Query NPDB (pulled within the last month at time of presentation)
- Ability to work 4 6 night shifts per month
- Local providers strongly preferredLodging and Mileage reimbursement available (if applicable)

Credentialing & Logistics 
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: days
- Site has an urgent need and is requesting temporary coverage/ privileges
