Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. As a casual nurse at BRHS, you will be allocated to an area of need within the health service and work within a team to provide patient-centred care to your assigned patients in a proactive and positive manner.
BRHS casual nurses contribute to nursing wards and units by providing excellent nursing care in accordance with policies and procedures, utilizing evidence-based practices to improve patient care and service delivery.
Work areas include acute and sub-acute wards, perioperative services, midwifery, emergency, home-based services, dialysis, and aged care. Post-graduate qualifications and substantial experience in specialty areas are advantageous.
All applicants must demonstrate:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Completion of a nurse graduate program
- Recent nursing experience
- Competence in clinical nursing with a focus on patient-centred care
- Clinical assessment and care planning skills
- Understanding of discharge planning principles
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- Excellent communication skills
Recent acute nursing experience is highly desirable; a minimum of 12 months recent nursing experience is required.
