This role ensures high-quality patient care aligned with the hospital’s mission, vision, and goals. The position requires strong leadership, effective communication, and collaboration with physicians, staff, and other departments to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department - Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff (approx. 35 FTEs) - Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care - Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives - Manage departmental budgets and resources efficiently - Maintain strong relationships with physicians, patients, vendors, and stakeholders - Ensure compliance with clinical standards, regulations, and hospital policies - Resolve operational and patient care issues effectively Department Details - 41 Wall Beds & 16 Hallway Beds - Team Size: 35 FTEs Qualifications Education - Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Required) - Master’s or advanced degree (Preferred) Licensure & Certifications - Active RN License (Texas or Compact State) - BLS (AHA or ARC) - ACLS & PALS (within 6 months) - TNCC (within 18 months) - ENPC or CEN (within 18 months) Experience - Minimum 5 years of progressive management experience, including: - Staff supervision and leadership rolesBudget planning and financial oversightPhysician relationship managementHandling operational and patient care challengesQuality improvement initiativesPrior Emergency Department (ED) experience is required Key Skills - Strong leadership and decision-making abilities - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints - High attention to detail and accuracy - Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams LanceSoft is rated as one of the largest staffing firms in the US by SIA.
