Directs patient care functions including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation consistent with the established standards of nursing practice.
Provides professional nursing care to patients within the medical practice in support of, and as directed by, the physicians. Assists the physician in the treatment of the patients and completes related clinical paperwork. The incumbent in this position shall carry out his or her responsibilities and integrate into his or her work ethic and style of management the Mercy Philosophy of caring for the sick and suffering, respect for human life and the dignity of each person, applying Christian values to all crucial human issues in the area over which he or she has responsibility.

Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily activities of nursing staffOversee clinical operations and address nursing practice issuesDirect patient care functions, including:AssessmentPlanningImplementationEvaluationProvide professional nursing care in alignment with established standardsAssist physicians with patient treatments and clinical proceduresComplete and maintain accurate clinical documentationFoster a caring, friendly, and professional environment for patients, families, and staffEnsure adherence to Mercy's philosophy and values in all interactionsPerform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Licensure & Certifications Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) licenseCurrent CPR certification Experience Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience requiredSupervisory experience preferred Skills & Competencies Strong clinical and patient care expertiseKnowledge of medications, treatments, and diagnostic proceduresAbility to educate patients and support self-care programsSkill in performing and assisting with medical proceduresCalm and effective response in emergency situationsAbility to interpret and apply policies and clinical guidelinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and leadership abilitiesBasic computer skills for clinical documentation and data entryAbility to build and maintain effective working relationships Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularlyProlonged standing and walking during shiftsFrequent bending, reaching, kneeling, twisting, and squatting Why Mercy?
