The OCI Cloud Engineer plays a crucial role in executing the IT Cloud strategy, enhancing agility, and managing infrastructure services within a cloud platform. This role aims to ensure the cloud infrastructure meets business demands for stability, scalability, and availability.
Responsibilities:
- Execute and support IT Cloud strategy.
- Maintain and support cloud platform infrastructure.
- Administer and support cloud and network environments.
- Recommend system enhancements and implement technical solutions.
- Configure and monitor performance metrics.
- Adhere to change management processes.
- Produce automation and operation artifacts.
- Support cloud deployments and implement changes.
- Proactively monitor issues and resolve them while keeping clients informed.
- Suggest improvements for stability, performance, and security.
- Provide input on infrastructure and networking needs.
- Find effective workarounds for constraints.
- Provide out-of-hours support as needed.
Must Haves:
- Demonstrable experience in Public/Private/Hybrid OCI configuration management.
- Proven ability to manage OCI platform support issues.
- Relevant industry standard cloud certification.
