Oncology NP/PA Opening Burlington, MAFull TimePermanent PositionSeeking Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join established Hematology/Oncology program in Burlington, MassachusettsPosition Highlights:Join a comprehensive Hematology/Oncology team within a major academic medical centerManage patients across the cancer care continuumWork closely with attending physicians in the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up of oncology patientsOpportunity to develop expertise in solid tumor malignancies and cancer therapeuticsCollaborative multidisciplinary environment including: - Medical Oncology - Surgical Specialties - Social Work - Nursing - Palliative Care - Psychiatry - Pharmacy - Research Teams - Nutrition ServicesExposure to both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic symptom management strategiesOpportunity to participate in inpatient and outpatient oncology careResponsibilities:Perform patient evaluations, histories, and physical examinationsAssist with admissions, transfers, and dischargesCoordinate care for chemotherapy and biotherapy patientsManage treatment-related symptoms and supportive care needsObtain informed consentsOrder chemotherapy under established protocols and supervisionCoordinate specialty referrals and multidisciplinary careRespond to patient and family questions and concernsMaintain accurate and timely clinical documentationParticipate in ongoing oncology education and professional developmentQualifications:For Physician Assistants:Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant programNCCPA certification or eligibilityMassachusetts PA licensureFor Nurse Practitioners:Graduate of accredited Master's or Advanced Practice Nursing programMassachusetts APRN licensureCurrent board certification as Nurse PractitionerAdditional Requirements:Current Massachusetts license by hire dateBLS certification requiredACLS certification encouragedDEA registration as applicableMassachusetts Controlled Substance Registration as applicableChemotherapy and Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification preferredMinimum two years of oncology experience preferredPrior direct patient care experience strongly preferredCompensation & Benefits:Salary range: $133,120 - $215,000 annuallyCompensation based on experience, education, certifications, and responsibilitiesComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement plan optionsPaid time offCME and professional development supportMalpractice coverageAcademic medical center resources and career advancement opportunitiesCommunity Highlights:Located in Burlington, MassachusettsEasy access to Boston and surrounding academic medical centersExcellent schools and family-friendly communitiesRich cultural, educational, and recreational opportunitiesAccess to New England's mountains, lakes, and coastlineOutstanding quality of life in one of the nation's premier healthcare regions
