**SIGN ON BONUS OF $300 FOR PART-TIME AND $150 FOR SEASONAL AFTER 90 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT **

Summary of Position: This position provides a positive outdoor recreational experience for our guests.
Guides will be responsible to lead both on-property and off-property adventures, as well as provide instruction for the use of outdoor recreational equipment (such as kayaks, bicycles, and snowshoes).
Qualifications:
- Excellent personal appearance, good communication/listening skills, and a friendly, congenial personality.
- Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
- The ability to work in a high-volume, busy service environment while maintaining composure and focus on guest.
- Avidly participate and have advanced knowledge in one or more of the following activities: Hiking, Bicycling, or Kayaking. Prior experience as an instructor is great, but not mandatory.
- Willingness to gain proficiency in new or unfamiliar outdoor activities.
- Familiarity and prior knowledge of local flora/fauna (plants/animals) is preferred, but not necessarily required.
- Must be comfortable in occasional low-light situations, such as the Nocturnal Walk.
- Have or be willing to obtain CPR (1 Rescuer/Adult) certification.
- Possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.
Responsibilities:
- Regular and timely attendance for scheduled shifts.
- Provide personal attention to guests as appropriate.
- Stay current and familiar with the proper use of all outdoor equipment.
- Assist in the maintenance, cleanliness, and organization of department equipment and the trails used for activities.
- Stay current on all spa department information and procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge of all spa programs and company information.
- Work cooperatively and professionally with all departments.
- Attend regular meetings as directed by the Outdoor Experiences Manager.
- Conduct tours of the facility as necessary.
- Contribute to the development of classes and programs as needed or directed.
- Lead outdoor activities, including (but not limited to) hiking, biking, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and snowshoeing.
- Transport guests to and from off-property areas used for outdoor recreation.
- Investigate all equipment needs and review suggestions with the Outdoor Experiences Manager.
- Coordinate transportation with the Outdoor Experiences Manager for off-property activities.
- Coordinate with the Outdoor Experiences Manager to provide water and assistive equipment (such as trekking poles) for activities as needed.
- Be familiar with the philosophy and history of The Lodge at Woodloch and be able to communicate this information to guests.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by Management.
