Practice Lead Nurse - Registered Nurse

Permanent, Full-time

Are you a dynamic and compassionate Registered Nurse with strong leadership skills? Arkaba Medical Centre is seeking a dedicated Lead Nurse to join our highly respected practice. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while leading, mentoring, and supporting our nursing team to ensure smooth day-to-day clinical operations.

About the Role:

Sharing the Arkaba Medical Centres values of Integrity, Excellence, Patient Focused, Collaborative and Innovative, as Lead Nurse, you will provide clinical expertise, administrative support, and team leadership to drive quality, safety, and efficiency across our nursing services. Reporting clinically to the Clinical Director and operationally to the Business Manager, your focus will be on patient-centred care, compliance with best practices, and the strategic improvement of our services.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Providing high-quality clinical care, including medication administration, wound management, immunisations, triage, and emergency support.
• Leading and mentoring the nursing team, including conducting performance reviews, and managing team workflows.
• Managing clinical supplies, infection prevention, cold chain protocols, and maintaining emergency equipment.
• Supporting doctors during procedures, workplace medicals, and chronic disease management programs.
• Ensuring the maintenance of accurate clinical documentation and data management.
• Contributing to Quality Improvement initiatives, accreditation activities, and special projects.
• Designing workflows and processes for nursing team
• Contributing to design and facilitate efficiencies and opportunities in the medical centre

About You:

• Current Registered Nurse qualification with AHPRA registration.
• Current CPR certification, National Police Check and Working With Children.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a small team.
• Evidence of strong clinical knowledge across general practice nursing, including emergency triage and chronic disease management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on patient care and confidentiality.
• Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise and manage time effectively.
• Sound understanding of WHS legislation, Infection Control, Quality Improvement, and Cold Chain Management.
• The ability to work across both treatment room and care planning roles.
• Iron Clinic experience.
• Experience with Best Practice medical software.
• Current Driver's Licence and own vehicle.
