## Job Description

**Real Estate / Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney** **Location:** Pittsburgh, PA

Direct Counsel is seeking a **Real Estate / Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney** to join a **prestigious global law firm's** highly regarded Real Estate practice in Pittsburgh. This opportunity is ideal for a **mid-level associate with 4–6 years of experience** handling sophisticated commercial real estate and real estate finance transactions. The successful candidate will work on high-value acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, financing, and other complex real estate matters while collaborating with experienced attorneys on a national and global platform.

ResponsibilitiesCommercial Real Estate Transactions 
- Handle a broad range of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and joint ventures.
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, financing documents, and related transaction agreements.
- Assist with transaction structuring, due diligence, and closing coordination.
- Provide practical, business-focused legal advice to clients throughout all stages of a transaction.

Due Diligence & Risk Analysis 
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of title, survey, zoning, lease, and other real estate due diligence materials.
- Identify legal, financial, and operational risks affecting commercial real estate transactions.
- Prepare due diligence reports and develop practical risk mitigation strategies.

Transaction Management & Client Service 
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients on active matters.
- Coordinate with attorneys, lenders, consultants, title companies, and other transaction participants.
- Manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and ensuring high-quality work product.
- Mentor junior attorneys and support the development of collaborative deal teams.

Qualifications 
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active Pennsylvania bar admission or eligibility for admission.
- 4–6 years of commercial real estate and/or real estate finance experience at a law firm.
- Significant experience drafting and negotiating commercial real estate transaction documents.
- Strong understanding of title, survey, zoning, leasing, financing, and property rights.
- Experience managing sophisticated commercial real estate transactions from inception through closing.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset with demonstrated leadership potential.
