This Permanent role is based at our Croydon Park site.
Salary Sacrifice up to $15,899 per year to increase your take-home pay working for a not-for-profit organisation.
The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our forward thinking, progressive Aged Care organisation in our Clinical Team, as a permanent part-time Registered Nurse. Ideally, St Basil’s are seeking someone who can commit to all the below vacant shifts which will be a minimum of 42-45 hours per fortnight, with St Basil’s being their primary workplace.
You will be reporting to the Clinical Care Coordinator, and as an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Nurse, you will excel in providing exceptional care and service excellence. You will work both independently and as part of a team, thriving in a fast-paced environment where your efforts make a tangible difference to our residents. Your innovative and creative thinking will help you identify ways to work more effectively, ensuring you provide the best possible care. Your professionalism and strong moral values will shine through in everything you do.

What you’ll do and be responsible for:

  • Provide quality clinical care to the residents in your ‘house’ area, in line with our Model of Care
  • Be responsible for the health and well-being of our residents
  • Check medication and undertake medication rounds where required.
  • Engage with families and other stakeholders to build relationships and trust and act as a family contact for any clinical discussions when required.
  • Support newadmissions with care and sensitivity while following the organisationsadmissions pathway
  • Conduct resident assessments, care planning and evaluations for clinical and non-clinical requirements as required; ensuring appropriate documentation is maintained to meet legislative requirements
  • Demonstrate leadership in maintaining infection control, manual handling and care provision principles at all times and educate staff on related policies and procedures
  • Model best practices to ensure resident’s quality of life is optimised
  • Provide hands-on support and coaching / leadership to the Enrolled Nurse and Personal Care team during shifts.

What you’ll need to succeed:
  • Bachelor of Nursing with full AHPRA registration (no restrictions)
  • Post Graduate experience (preferred 3 years)
  • Up to date qualifications in First Aid and CPR
  • Demonstrated clinical assessment skills
  • Ability to mentor and lead others
  • A warm and empathetic approach
  • Comprehensive clinical knowledge of the ageing process & health and a working knowledge of relevant Aged Care legislation
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;listening, written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive and energetic style with the enthusiasm to learn and develop
It would be helpful if you had (but is not essential to apply for the role):
  • An Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) certificate
  • Experience working in Aged Care
  • A current National Police Certificate (or willingness to apply)

  • Week 1: Wednesday 3-9:30pm
  • Week 1: Thursday3-9:30pm
  • Week 1: Friday3-9:30pm
  • Week 2: Monday3-9:30pm
  • Week 2: Tuesday 7-3:30pm
  • Week 2: Tuesday3-9:30pm
  • Week 2: Friday3-9:30pm
  • Week 2: Saturday3-9:30pm
