View full job details and apply now on Confidential Careers. # Retail Marketing Intern SoTalent ## Job Description Job Description Retail Marketing Intern Position Overview An opportunity is available for a Retail Marketing Intern to support local marketing initiatives, customer engagement, events, digital content, and recruitment marketing in the Madison, Wisconsin market. This hands-on role provides exposure to retail marketing, brand execution, community engagement, social media, event coordination, and talent attraction. The successful candidate will work closely with store operations, marketing, merchandising, and HR teams to bring campaigns and initiatives to life. Key Responsibilities Local Marketing - Support local marketing campaigns designed to increase customer engagement and store traffic. - Assist with in-store marketing execution, including signage, displays, and promotional materials. - Work with store teams to ensure consistent brand standards and campaign execution. Events & Community Engagement - Assist with planning and executing in-store and community events. - Support partnerships and engagement with local organisations, community groups, and customers. - Represent the brand professionally at events and local activations. Digital & Social Media - Assist with creating and publishing social media and digital content. - Monitor social media and marketing trends and contribute ideas to increase engagement and reach. - Capture photos and video content at stores and events for use in marketing campaigns. Recruitment Marketing - Support promotional efforts for open positions through social media and local marketing channels. - Assist with in-store hiring signage and recruitment materials. - Support hiring events and community-based recruitment initiatives. Collaboration & Insights - Partner with store operations, merchandising, marketing, and HR/recruiting teams to coordinate projects and deliverables. - Monitor customer behaviour and local market trends to identify opportunities for improved engagement. - Provide creative ideas and feedback to strengthen marketing campaigns and community connections. Qualifications Required: - Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Food Marketing, or a related field. - Must be based in Madison, Wisconsin. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. - Highly collaborative, adaptable, and able to overcome challenges. Preferred: - Interest in retail, brand marketing, events, or community engagement. - Previous internship, campus leadership, or project experience in marketing, events, communications, or a related area. - Experience using social media platforms and creating digital content.
