## Job Description

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Rheumatologist to join their busy and growing practice. This role offers the opportunity to provide world-class healthcare in America's heartland, serving a diverse patient population. The successful candidate will contribute to a high-volume practice with a broad referral network.

Practice Info

- Join a current group of 2 physicians in a very busy, growing practice

- High volume practice

- Referral network spanning Western North Dakota, Eastern Montana, and Southern Canada

- Approximately 17-20 outpatients per day

- Diverse patient load age ranging from 18 - 90

Responsibilities

- Perform history and physical examination

- Admit (if applicable to the setting)

- Provide consultative services

- Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients of all ages with diseases of the joints, muscles, bones, and tendons

Requirements

- M.D. or D.O. degree

- Successful completion of an Internal Medicine or Pediatric residency program, followed by the completion of a fellowship in Rheumatology accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada

- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable

- If not board certified at the time of application but completed fellowship training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of fellowship training unless waived

- Experience can be demonstrated by fellowship log (for recent fellows) or quality profile from current hospital(s) showing clinical activity for the last 12 months, including numbers of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications

- If not applying directly out of a fellowship, must demonstrate active involvement of inpatient services with at least 50 patients in the last 12 months

- If a quality profile is not available, documentation of clinic activity for the last 12 months is required, demonstrating active involvement in the care of 50 patients in clinical practice in the last 12 months
