View full job details and apply now on… Sales Engineer Territory # Sales Engineer Territory Purple Hire ## Job Description Job Title: Sales Engineer Precision Finishing Systems Location: Pittsburgh, PA / Eastern Ohio Territory Primary Territory: Pittsburgh, PA and Eastern Ohio Work Arrangement: Field-Based / Territory Sales Base Salary: $65,000 + Commission + Benefits Compensation Range: $61,000 $70,000 Base + Commission Position Overview Precision Finishing Systems is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Engineer to develop and grow business throughout the Pittsburgh, PA and Eastern Ohio manufacturing market. This position is ideal for someone with a background in industrial manufacturing, equipment sales, production, operations, quality, or mechanical processes who enjoys working directly with customers and solving technical problems. Direct experience with metal finishing is a plus, but not required. Candidates with general industrial or manufacturing experience are encouraged to apply. The Sales Engineer will visit manufacturing facilities, understand customer production challenges, recommend appropriate equipment and finishing solutions, prepare quotes and proposals, and develop long-term customer relationships. Key Responsibilities Develop new business opportunities within the assigned Pittsburgh and Eastern Ohio territory. Identify manufacturing customers and develop new customer relationships. Visit customer facilities to understand production processes and operational challenges. Conduct facility walk-throughs, product demonstrations, and technical presentations. Recommend appropriate finishing equipment, machinery, and process improvements. Work with manufacturing engineers, plant managers, operations managers, production supervisors, and purchasing teams. Prepare quotes, proposals, and technical recommendations based on customer requirements. Manage sales opportunities, customer information, and activities through CRM systems. Follow up with prospects and existing customers throughout the sales cycle. Coordinate with internal teams to support successful equipment implementation and customer satisfaction. Attend trade shows, industry events, and customer demonstrations as required. Maintain knowledge of industrial finishing technologies, manufacturing processes, products, and competitive offerings. Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to meet with customers and prospects. Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing, equipment sales, technical sales, finishing operations, or a related field. Strong mechanical and technical aptitude. Ability to understand manufacturing processes and identify customer needs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Comfortable conducting customer visits and technical discussions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/sales technology. Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
