## Job Description

We are seeking an EngineRoom Deputy Chief reports to the Chief Engineer and is generally responsible(not limited to) for the operation of main and auxiliary engines, thrusters,and maintenance of other equipment under their responsibility, ensuringcompliance with the Chief Engineer s instructions, current legislation, classrequirements, and the Company s Management System. Theirrole involves supervising operations, ensuring economic efficiency, safety, andenvironmental protection. Additionally, they coordinate and control the team sdaily work plans, maintaining constant communication with management and otheronboard functions to ensure maximum safety and operational quality.Responsabilidades e atribuiçõesSupervise theoperation and maintenance of main and auxiliary engines, generators, pumps,hydraulic systems, thrusters, and other engine room equipment;Support the ChiefEngineer;Supervise the engineroom team, allocating tasks, monitoring work execution, and ensuring compliancewith established procedures;Ensure theavailability of critical equipment for offshore operations, including DPsystems, thrusters, power generation, and hydraulic systems, as applicable;Plan and monitorpreventive and corrective maintenance, including proper records in the vesselsmaintenance management system;Monitor operationalparameters of engines;Support AHTSoperations, when applicable;Monitor fuel,lubricants, water, and other consumables, including receipt and inventorycontrol in accordance with company procedures;Ensure compliancewith SMS/ISM, applicable legislation, class requirements, and companyprocedures, as well as safety and environmental standards;Participate intraining, drills, and emergency response activities;Maintain technicaland operational records and promptly report any equipment failure, risk, orabnormal condition to the Chief Engineer;Ensure the safety of theengine room team working procedures in accordance with the company s SMS.Requisitos e qualificaçõesTo succeed in this role, we expect you to:Experience in the role aboard Dynamic Positioning vessels;Availability for offshore assignments;Commitment to safety and quality in the work environment;Valid STCW certificates;Proficiency with Word and Excel;Advanced English;Certificate of Competence issued by the Brazilian Maritime Authority STCW III/2;Certificate of Completion of the Improvement Course for Engine Officers (APMA);Basic and Advanced Safety Courses issued by the Brazilian Maritime Authority;Special Basic Course in Ship Security Awareness;DP Maintenance course;Registration and Record Booklet (CIR);Yellow Fever Vaccination.
