Install low voltage commercial security systems including access control, video surveillance, and associated infrastructure across commercial construction environments - Perform cabling rough-in across all media types - pulling, routing, and securing cable in compliance with project specifications and industry standards - Install conduit, cable tray, and pathway systems as required by project scope - Install and terminate security hardware including door controllers, card readers, HID credential readers, electric strikes, magnetic locks, request-to-exit devices, and door position switches - Install and mount IP and analog cameras, NVRs, DVRs, and associated video surveillance hardware Termination, Testing & Documentation - Terminate all media types accurately and to specification - copper, coax, and fiber as applicable - Perform cabling testing and produce complete, accurate documentation - test results, as-builts, and project close-out records - Verify system performance after installation and document results in compliance with project requirements System Integration - Program, configure, and commission access control systems including: Software House / CCure 9000, I-Star controllers, Mercury Security panels, HID credential management, and Avigilon video management systems - Troubleshoot access control and video surveillance systems at the hardware, software, and network level - identifying root causes and resolving issues independently - Configure LAN/WAN network settings for IP-based security devices - assigning IP addresses, configuring VLANs, and verifying network connectivity for access control panels and IP cameras - Perform system updates, maintenance, and service work on installed security systems Customer & Jobsite Professionalism - Represent LINX professionally on every jobsite - occupied commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, and schools require a higher standard of conduct, appearance, and communication than ground-up construction - Communicate clearly with clients, facilities managers, and GC site supervisors regarding work scope, schedule, and any issues that arise - Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area throughout the project Requirements By Tier TECHNICIAN I Who This Is For: Required: - 6 months to 1 year of low voltage installation experience in commercial buildings - structured cabling, fire alarm, AV, or related low voltage work qualifies - Base understanding of general construction practices and jobsite safety - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents - Experience with basic hand and power tools - hammer drill, screwdrivers, crimpers, cable strippers, snips - Experience with " coax cable prep tools and Category cable RJ45 crimpers preferred - Proficiency with Office 365, Bluebeam, and standard mobile/tablet applications used for jobsite documentation - Must own personal low voltage hand tools - snips, cable strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches What the First 6 Months Look Like: TECHNICIAN II Who This Is For: Required: - 6 months to 2 years of commercial security & access control installation and integration experience (not just CCTV or alarm systems) - Hands-on experience with at least one of the following platforms: Avigilon, Software House/CCure, I-Star, Mercury Security panels, HID - Working knowledge of networking protocols, LAN/WAN concepts, and TCP/IP - you understand how IP-based security devices communicate on a network - Manufacturer certification from any of the above platforms - list all certifications on your resume (preferred) - All Technician I requirements met TECHNICIAN III Who This Is For: Required: - 2+ years of commercial security installation and integration experience with a track record of independent system commissioning and troubleshooting - Demonstrated proficiency programming and commissioning at least one of LINX's primary platforms: Software House CCure 9000, I-Star controllers, Mercury Security panels, Avigilon Unity/Alta video management - Strong working knowledge of IP networking as it applies to security systems - VLANs, IP addressing, port configuration, network troubleshooting - Ability to read, interpret, and redline construction documents, as-builts, and security system drawings - Ability to produce complete close-out documentation packages independently - Manufacturer certification from any of the above platforms - list all certifications on your resume (preferred) - All Technician I and II requirements met Shared Requirements - All Tiers Physical & Logistics - Ability to work on ladders, in lifts, and at heights - comfort working at elevation is a daily requirement of this role - Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver 50+ pound equipment, cable reels, and ladders - Must own a complete set of personal low voltage hand tools - Valid driver's license, reliable personal transportation, and current automobile insurance - you will drive to jobsites daily - Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift and overtime as required by project schedule - Ability to travel statewide across Colorado; occasional out-of-state project travel required Pre-Employment Requirements - Must pass a 7-year criminal background check - Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening - High school diploma or equivalent required Communication - Professional working proficiency in English - written and verbal - Ability to communicate clearly with Lead Technicians, Foremen, clients, and GC site supervisors Compensation & Benefits Pay Rate: Benefits: -
