Senior Accountant

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Monthly financial close; including journal entry processing and general ledger account activity for accuracy. Produce timely monthly financial statements and other internal and external financial reports, as necessary Regular review and analysis of balance sheet accounts. Identify, analyze and investigate variances; working with business partners at a variety of levels. Preparation and recording of payroll journal entries. Support year-end audit functions; preparing backups and schedules, liaising with auditors, reconciliations as necessary. SKILLS THE CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR 3+ years of working experience in a full-cycle accounting role. Experience in an (public) accounting firm highly valued. Able to manage large volumes of financial data. Strong Excel, with the ability to use a variety advanced functions (vlookup, pivots, etc.) Analytic review and problem-solving skills with the ability to make recommendations based upon data analysis.

Self-motivated, organized, and requires little supervision. Good communication skills.
