At Hays, we are partnering with a leading international company seeking a highly skilled **Senior Backend Consultant** to join a strategic TradeNxt project. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in backend development, event-driven architectures, cloud technologies, and data integration.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services.
- Build and optimize real-time data processing solutions using Kafka Streams and DMS Streaming.
- Develop high-quality microservices using Java Spring Boot.
- Integrate applications and third-party systems through APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
- Contribute to cloud-native solutions hosted on AWS.
- Support data analytics and reporting initiatives involving Databricks and Power BI.
- Ensure best practices in version control, containerization, and deployment processes.

**Mandatory Requirements**

**Candidates must meet all the following requirements and have proven hands-on experience:**

- Strong experience with DMS Streaming and Kafka Streams.
- Solid development experience with Java Spring Boot.
- Experience integrating and consuming APIs.
- Experience working with AWS cloud environments.
- Knowledge of Databricks and Power BI.
- Experience with GitHub and Docker.
- Kafka Certification (mandatory).
- Professional level of English.

**Nice to Have**

- Experience with scheduling and workload automation tools, particularly Control-M.
