## Job Description

Job Title: Senior Design Engineer – Mechanical

Industry: Heavy Machinery / Mining Equipment Manufacturing (Stone Crushing Machines)

Location: Hyderabad

Experience Required: 3+ years in mechanical design, preferably in heavy machinery, mining, or construction equipment

**About the Role**

Puzzolana is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Design Engineer – Mechanical to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance mechanical systems and components for crushing, screening, and material handling equipment used in mining, aggregates, and infrastructure industries.

This role requires strong expertise in mechanical design, heavy machinery, CAD/CAE tools, and manufacturing processes, along with the ability to mentor junior engineers and drive product innovation.

**Key Responsibilities**

✅ Develop 3D models, manufacturing drawings, assemblies, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for crushers, screens, feeders, conveyors, and related equipment.

✅ Perform design calculations, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), stress analysis, and validation of heavy-duty mechanical components.

✅ Optimize product designs for durability, performance, manufacturability, cost efficiency, and operational reliability.

✅ Collaborate closely with production, quality, procurement, and service teams to ensure seamless product development and execution.

✅ Support prototype development, testing, commissioning, and field performance validation.

✅ Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.

✅ Troubleshoot design-related issues and implement continuous product improvements.

✅ Mentor and guide junior engineers while promoting technical excellence within the team.

**Required Qualifications**

✔ Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

✔ 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in heavy machinery, mining equipment, construction equipment, crushing plants, or material handling systems.

✔ Strong hands-on experience with CAD/CAE tools such as:

- Creo
- SolidWorks
- CATIA
- ANSYS

✔ Good understanding of:

- Crushers and screening equipment
- Material handling systems
- Welding and fabrication
- Castings and machining
- Assembly and manufacturing processes

✔ Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
