Senior System Software Engineer - Software Development Kit

Overview

As a Senior System Software Engineer with NVIDIA’s Tegra Solutions Engineering team, you will help drive the development of camera, multimedia and graphics solutions for embedded platform architectures located in Santa Clara, CA.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Work with product teams and deliver platform solutions of world‑class quality.
• Collaborate with software engineers, hardware and architecture teams to design, develop, validate and optimize software on NVIDIA’s DRIVE self‑driving platform.
• Engage with customers and partners to productize DRIVE platforms.
• Develop and maintain drivers in the camera framework to enable and bring‑up camera sensors on automotive platforms.
• Familiarity with the imaging pipeline, debug and support Image Quality evaluations.
• Optimize performance for graphics and multimedia components in the driving platform stack.
• Gather customer requirements and help develop and optimize their products.

What We Need To See

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in system software development, with 2+ years on embedded systems focusing on imaging or graphics pipelines.
• Strong programming knowledge in C, C++ and Python.
• Familiarity with source control systems (git, Perforce) and tools such as JAMA and JIRA.
• Knowledge of camera sensors, ISP, image quality, camera calibration and interface components like CSI, serializers/deserializers.
• Good understanding of graphics fundamentals and GPU architecture.
• Good understanding of Linux, Android, or real‑time operating systems.
• Experience working and interacting with customers.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and platforms.

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

• Experience in platform bring‑up and BSP software.
• Experience on GPU computing or computer vision.
• Background with AUTOSAR, Cert C/C++, or MISRA.
• Experience with CUDA, TensorRT.
• Track record integrating and delivering functional and performant real‑time and/or distributed systems.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary ranges are $152,000 – $241,500 for Level 3 and $184,000 – $287,500 for Level 4. You are also eligible for equity and benefits.
