We are looking for an experienced Service Technician to support our growing North Georgia market. This position will be based in the Jasper, Georgia area and will include regular travel throughout the surrounding market, including monthly travel to Atlanta, GA and Chattanooga, TN. A company vehicle is provided for this position. As a Service Technician, you will independently perform maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on residential standby generator systems. Responsibilities include: - Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on air-cooled and liquid-cooled generator systems with minimal supervision. - Troubleshoot transfer switch issues and complete necessary repairs. - Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical generator system issues. - Repair or replace generator accessories, including Smart Modules, remote monitoring equipment, and surge protection devices. - Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, technical manuals, and manufacturer documentation. - Identify engine and generator repair needs and assist with developing repair estimates as necessary. - Respond to urgent service requests. - Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule. - Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate repair needs clearly with customers and team members. - Travel throughout the North Georgia service area, including monthly travel to Atlanta and Chattanooga.
