## Job Description

Our client is a well-established mechanical engineering and energy services firm offering comprehensive, full-service mechanical project solutions. They are seeking a talented **Small Projects Account Manager** to lead and manage full-service mechanical projects in the **$10 million and under range**.

This role is critical to the organization, serving as the central point of coordination between engineering, construction, and client teams to deliver successful project outcomes on time and within budget.

## Responsibilities

- Oversee and manage project development and engineering resources on a per-project basis, while effectively managing client expectations. 
- Create, manage, and develop the scope of work and mechanical design documents for client-approved projects. 
- Manage design principles across projects, lead design team coordination meetings, and ensure designs remain on schedule. 
- Collaborate with the assigned construction manager to establish Guaranteed Maximum Construction Costs (GMAX) for projects. 
- Assist the sales team in client meetings and presentations. 
- Manage engineering project teammates and provide coaching and mentoring to support their career development. 
- Create, manage, and oversee budgets for Investment Grade Audits, Pre-Construction Services Proposals, and Mechanical Design Budgets. 
- Specify equipment, review and approve equipment submittals and O&M Manuals, and create record drawings from red lines. 
- Review assumptions and methodologies used in building guaranteed energy savings, and evaluate the IPMVP utilized for post-retrofit measurements to validate energy savings. 
- Oversee pre-retrofit Measurement & Verification (M&V) measurements for the energy guarantee. 
- Manage project schedules and effectively communicate changes in a dynamic environment. 
- Maintain clear and concise verbal and written communications with clients throughout all project phases. 

## Qualifications

- Strong written communication and presentation skills. 
- Ability and willingness to work and thrive in a collaborative team environment. 
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent required. 
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with intent to pursue PE licensure is a plus. 
- Proficiency in Revit required. 
- 5 to 10 years of experience in HVAC Mechanical Systems Design, Energy Services Performance Contracting, or Energy Retrofit Design/Build project development required.
